It’s no myth that January is the month when more couples seek out a divorce than any other in the year.
It’s also the month when more people seek out a change in their personal health.
Unfortunately, as it stands, getting a divorce is usually a lot easier than getting your health ‘back on track’.
Maybe it’s the added time of being off during the Christmas period that allows us to look back on our last year (and life) and realise that we’re not actually that happy.
We may have glimpses of happiness, but they can be few and far between. Instead, many people are stuck in a constant unchanging cycle.
How do we get out of it? Many people seek escapism through alcohol or other drugs.
(Alcohol IS a drug AND it’s one of most dangerous drugs on the planet.)
For others it’s escapism through social media: many have an alter-ego ‘online self’ that rarely reflects their true self.
To others it could be thrill-seeking: through an addiction to spending that leads to a new misery of debt, and to others it’s an obsession with working.
January can be a cold gloomy month, but it can also be the catalyst for change.
We can’t help you with your divorce, but we can help you find true health again.
We can help you find a happier state of being and identify areas in your life and health that require a radical shift.
We can (and do on a daily basis) eliminate life-long musculoskeletal pain in our clients. We can help you feel energised like you used to feel: being in control of your health and your own life.
It takes some professional help and guidance, and it may just save your marriage along the way.
Health isn’t found in a gym membership and it’s definitely not in a doctor’s office. It can only be found when you have an understanding of your own body and mind.
It can be found once you know yourself (limitations and all) and then have a structured plan to make small, consistent improvements over a period of 6-12 months.
The Road to Health
The road to health should NOT be travelled alone, but it can be a lonely and often confusing journey with many pitfalls along the way.
It should be shared with like-minded people and planned and led by not just one trusted professional, but a whole team of health professionals.
Many people don’t understand what our health centre is all about. We have a sign outside that says, “We are NOT a gym”, and we are not and never have been: we don’t offer cross fit or get fit quick programmes, and we don’t brag that we can cure ailments within a few sessions.
What we do is we take on individuals and help them establish a level of health that they usually never thought was possible, and we do this through a series of different health professionals working together for the good of each and every client/patient.
You Have a Choice
So, the question you should ask yourself is:
This time next year do you want the same level of health and happiness you have now?
Would you like to plan a strategy that could have an impact so profound that it could reshape the rest of your life (for the better)?
Don’t wait for life to return to normal, make that change today.
